The Santa Luzia Hammocks and Decoration participated in the Maison & Object from 6 to 10 September during the Paris Design Week, which attracts around 100,000 people to the French capital. About to turn 25 years existence, Maison & Object maintains its reputation as a global showcase and source of inspiration, revealing current information and future design trends. Among the exhibitors, 61% of brands come from outside France. According to research released after the event, Maison & Object brought together in this edition 3,137 brands from 69 countries. And in five days it drew an audience of 76,862 visitors to the Villepinte Exhibition Center in Paris.
The Santa Luzia Hammocks and Decoration successfully took the opportunity. “We do business and establish contacts with clients interested not only in aesthetics but also by our proposal of ecological decoration and sustainable nature”, celebrates Mr. Armando Dantas, CEO of the company. In addition to recycled yarn, the textile factory uses Paraiba’s natural and organic colored cotton planted and harvested in partnership with family farming in the semiarid region.
Guests panning during Maison & Object include even an art museum, hotel chains, architects and home decor stores. “We have already exported to many countries, but this special endorsement is important – exhibiting and selling at a design fair where we are selected by a strict curator. This not only reinforces that we are on the right track but also helps us improve further – as our product attracts very demanding customers,” says Mr. Dantas.
The Santa Luzia Hammocks and Decoration production as hammocks, pillows and blankets were exhibited at the Brazil stand of the Brazilian Association of Utilities and Gifts Companies – ABUP in Hall 7 of Maison & Objeto. The textile company highlighted its craft work with various techniques of textile typology such as macramé and fuxico and gave greater visibility to the Trancê network, awarded in late 2018 with the “Recognition of Handicraft Excellence of the Southern Cone” granted by the World Crafts Council – WCC ( World Craft Council) with recommendation from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO.
For Mr. Gilberto Agrello, International Relations Manager at ABUP, the award guarantees relevance to the company. “Maison & Object is recognized and respected as a product curation fair. Certainly, the international recognition for Santa Luzia has contributed to the approval of its participation in the important Signature Forever sector – aimed at high standard products”.
Maison & Object defines the Signature Forever sector as a space for luxury brands and craftsmanship, timeless refinement developed with elegance as in haute couture.
The Santa Luzia Hammocks and Decoration exhibited at the ABUP stand next to the brands Holaria, Marco500, Metaltru, Rima Casa and St. James.
