The Brazilian Association of Utilities and Gifts Business – ABUP, launched in 2016 the fair ABUP Textile, in order to strengthen and expand the Brazilian textile market. Santa Luzia Hammocks and Textiles was present in this first edition of the event that is already becoming the main fair of finished goods and raw materials in the home sector.
The ABUP Textile was held in São Paulo, between March 17 and 20 and was attended by 64 companies. According to Tharsiana Freitas, responsible for product development and wholesale, the participation of Santa Luzia Hammocks and Textiles in this event is part of the company’s strategy to expand its sales in the wholesale market. “The ABUP Textile promotes closer ties between industry, wholesalers, retailers and sales representatives thus combiningoutletscatering toconsumers from classes A to C, which brought excellent results for the company.”
Tharsiana also elaborates on the results of Santa Luzia Hammocks and Textiles:
“The market is looking for uniqueness. Santa Luzia’s products have very good value for money,with handmade details at competitive prices for retailers. Surprisingly, there was a large demand for hammocks with more exquisite fringes, because the retailers said that customers were seeking more elaborate hammocks.”
The ABUP TEXTILE is a showcase of trends in fabrics and accessories and happened at the Events Center PRO MAGNO in the northern area of São Paulo. Tharsiana was very pleased with the location, the facilities, the organization of the event and with the support team “attentive and well-trained staff,” she said. She reveals why participation in this event was a great experience.
“The ABUP Textile brought one of the best results ever achieved by Santa Luzia Hammocks and Textiles. All this with no small thanks to the valuable work of our collaborator Maria Valdeni—Nova, who is tireless and always available, before, during and after the fair”, she said.
